Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says he has no fears over the fitness of his two star full-backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson. The pair have been key in Liverpool’s successes over the past two years and it was feared that the duo might be close to suffering from a ‘burn-out’ after playing 48 games each this season.
“I think they can go again yes. We think constantly about our situation and we know we need to find solutions for that. That’s how it is,” he added. “With Neco Williams, we have a real prospect there which is very nice to have. And we have other solutions for those problems.”
“Finding the next Trent or the next Robbo is difficult, but maybe possible and we will work on that.” Alexander-Arnold had his big breakout season last year and he has quickly developed into one of the best right-backs in the world. The 26-year-old Robertson joined Liverpool from Hull in 2017 and has become one of the best left-backs in the world.
