Napoli have not received any offers for the star defender Kalidou Koulibaly says sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli. The 29-year-old Senegal international has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League with both Manchester City and Manchester United having him high on their wanted lists.
Man City has been tipped as the hot favourite to lande Koulibaly, but the Italians have not received any offers. “At this moment, we haven’t received any offers,” the director told DAZN. “Koulibaly had important offers in the past and a great deal of interest, but we are in no rush to make decisions. We consider our players important and will discuss the situation with them.”
Several weeks ago Koulibaly stated he wasn’t looking to leave Napoli anytime soon and that he hoped the club would offer him a new deal. “We’ll see what the President decides to do and if he proposes me an extension which, therefore, would allow me to end my career here. I still have three years left on my contract, so there’s still plenty of time. I’m not thinking about anything other than Napoli.”
