Bayer Leverkusen are ready to beat Chelsea to sign Andre Onana. Several Dutch outlets have reported that the Germans have made contact with Ajax and made an offer worth €20m. It is suggested Ajax have rejected the offer as the Dutch giants want at least €40m for the Cameroonian shot stopper.
In Germany Onana would be reunited with Peter Bosz, the coach who allowed him his debut at Ajax. The Dutch coach is very keen on bringing Onana to his club as Leverkusen are ready to storm the top four of the Bundesliga next season after just missing out on Champions League football this season.
Leverkusen’s bid might a wake-up call for Chelsea. The Blues are interested in Onana to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga and after Chelsea completed a top four finish they could be making an offer for the goalkeeper. Onana himself is ready to leave Ajax this summer after spending five years at the club. He stated earlier that while he is enjoying himself in Amsterdam he wants a new adventure. FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in signing Onana.
