Chelsea winger Willian is set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer. The Brazilian has held contract talks with the Blues but failed to reach an agreement. Willian wants to sign a three-year deal with the club while Chelsea have offered him no more than a two year deal. If it was up for Graeme Souness he would offer the 31-year-old whatever he wanted.
“I think he’s their best player,” Souness told Sky Sports. “He wants a three-year [contract], they’ve offered two. I’d be giving it to him. You watch him play, he doesn’t look like a player to me whose legs are going anytime soon and he’s got great qualities. So I would be bending over backwards to keep him at the football club.”
Willian has been one of Chelsea’s best performers this season. The winger netted 9 goals and laid down 7 assists to his teammates this season. It has been suggested that Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester United are eyeing Willian, who is believed to be wanting to stay in London with his family.
