Dean Henderson has returned to Manchester United after his loan spell at Sheffield United has ended. The 23-year-old has requested a meeting with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the English goalkeeper is seeking assurances for next season. The Sun reports that Henderson wants the number one spot at United, meaning he wants his club to axe David de Gea. The report claims that Solskjaer is reluctant to give Henderson that promise. He still considers the Spanish goalkeeper to be his number one despite De Gea having a troubled season with several errors.
It is believed that Henderson has told his family and friends that he is desperate to play for United but will not hesitate to move if he is not able to play regular first team football. Chelsea could benefit from the goalkeeper troubles at United and are ready to offer Henderson a whopping €250.000 a week salary to sign him this summer.
Frank Lampard added speculation to Kepa Arizzabalaga’s future at Chelsea after he axed the Spanish goalkeeper for their final league game of the season against Wolves (2-0). The Blues have various targets to look at this summer with Henderson, Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak and Ajax’s Andre Onana topping the wanted list.
