Lautaro delighted to end four game goal drought: ‘One of my best goals’

Internazionale beat Napoli 2-0 on Tuesday and Lautaro Martinez was one of the goalscorers for the Nerazzurri. The Argentinian ended a four match goal drought and after the game he revealed he was delighted to finally find the net again as Inter overtook Atalanta Bergamo for second place behind freshly crowned champions Juventus.

Talking to reporters after the game, he said: “During the week we talked after the Genoa game and we said that we wanted to win to stay in second place. We know that another team has won the title and we want finish as high up as possible.”

“In the friendly against Atletico Madrid last year and in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund and Slavia Prague I scored beautiful goals. It is difficult to choose between them but this was certainly very beautiful.” Martinez has made 34 appearances for Inter this season, scoring 14 goals.
