Real Madrid hoping to generate 100m in player sales this summer

Real Madrid hoping to add another €100m in player sales this summer. Spanish outlet AS reports that the club is keen on selling at least four more players during the offseason, with four Real Madrid Castilla graduates being the ones they have put up for sale.

Madrid already sold Achraf Hakimi to Internazionale for a reported €40m fee and they sold Javi Sanchez to Real Valladolid for a fee around €3m. Four players have been told they will be sold if a club makes a reasonable offer. Mariano Diaz, Sergio Reguilón, Borja Mayoral and Óscar Rodríguez are all being put up for sale.

The club expects that the four players will generate a total of €100m which will be used to cover for the effects of the corona virus pandemic. Real Madrid has been one of the clubs who have been hit hard in 2020. The club is expected to announce major losses as the club wasn’t able to generate match day income.
