Chelsea are ready to complete the signing of Kai Havertz after Saturday’s FA Cup final against Arsenal. Mirror Football report that while the Blues have offered the German a massive salary, the club has also been wooing him with other prospects. It is believed Havertz has been offered his dream shirt number.
Speaking to Spanish outlet Marca last year Havertz said: “My dream will always be to wear the No.10 one day at my club.” And it now seems that Chelsea are ready to fulfill the German’s dream next season. Willian currently wears the No.10 shirt at Stamford Bridge and the Brazilian is expected to leave the club on a free transfer.
Whilst Willian is reportedly keen on staying on at Chelsea, the forward and the club have not been able to reach an agreement as the player wants a three-year deal and the club has offered him a two-year extension. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been put forward as the most likely destinations for Willian.
