James Maddison to snub Manchester United with long-term Leicester deal

James Maddison will snub interest from Manchester United as the attacking midfielder is ready to sign a new contract at Leicester City worth around €120.000-a-week. The England international will be signing a new contract this week, reports the BBC. By signing a new deal Maddison will be extending his current deal until the summer of 2024.

Maddison has been one of Leicester’s outstanding performers this season, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in 38 appearances across all competitions, while also earning his first cap for the England national team. According to the BBC,  Maddison will be signing his new contract somewhere this week.

The 23-year-old missed the end of the season due to a hip injury and Leicester felt his absence after they collected only seven points out of a possible 18 as they lost a spot in the top four to finish fifth. of a possible 18 points as they crashed out of the Champions League places and settled for fifth.
