Borussia Dortmund would be happy to keep Jadon Sancho at the club for at least one more season, says sporting director Michael Zorc. The English winger has been heavily linked with Manchester United and it has been rumoured that the clubs are nearing a deal. Dortmund, however, are firmly holding on to their €120m asking price and are not ready to lower their demands.
Zorc has no insisted that Dortmund would be happy enough to keep Sancho if an interested club fails to meet their demands this summer. “Jadon is an outstanding footballer with a quota that I have never seen at this age. I think it would even stand up to being one of the largest in the industry if you look at its age.”
“I would be happy if he would still play with us this season. And that’s the current state of affairs. First of all we have to stick to the facts – and they are so, that we still have a contract with him until 2022.” Sancho joined Dortmund from Manchester City in pursuit of first team football.
In his three seasons at the Bundesliga giants, Sancho has developed himself into one of the best attackers in the German league. This season he scored a total of 17 goals while also providing 16 assists, granting him the ‘MVP’ award in the Bundesliga.
