Internazionale have offered Tottenham Hotspur the chance to sign Milan Skriniar in a swap deal that would bring Tanguy Ndombele to the Italians. While Spurs are keen on keeping their club-record signing for at least another season, Inter are hoping that including Skriniar into the deal will change their thoughts.
Since joining Inter from Sampdoria Skriniar has been one of their best performers. However, under Antonio Conte the Slovakian international is having troubles adapting to the 3-5-2 formation. This has led Inter opening up their stance to sell the 25-year-old this summer.
Skriniar has been linked with moves to the European elite for years now as he developed at Inter into a world-class defender. The Italians have been holding off interest, strapping a €100m price tag around his neck. Sky Italia now claim that Inter are ready to sell as Skriniar is troubling to perform under Conte.
Meanwhile, the former Juventus and Chelsea coach has requested his club to sign a defensive minded midfielder this summer. Conte’s number one target has always been FC Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal, but the Chilean is looking to stay at the Catalans next season. Ndombele is also on Conte’s list and a possible swap with Skriniar could be the best solution.
