Manchester United could make shock move for unhappy Hudson-Odoi

Manchester United could be making a shock move for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi as the 19-year-old winger is growing unhappy about his playing time at Stamford Bridge. The young England international expected much from this season under Frank Lampard but has seen less than 900 minutes of game time in the Premier League.

The youngster signed a new multi-year deal at Chelsea last year when he was being courted by Bayern Munich. The Blues convinced him to stay and promised him more first team appearances. A season later Hudson-Odoi has even played minder minutes than last season. The Sun reports that the winger is fed-up with his position at Chelsea.

While Pedro will leave the club on a free transfer and Willian looking to leave at the end of his contract, Chelsea have brought in Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner. Both players are on their best from the flank, which could be limiting Hudson-Odoi’s game time again next season. This has alerted Manchester United.

The Red Devils are still working on signing Jadon Sancho, but look to be unable to meet Borussia Dortmund‘s €120m asking price. Despite a contract until 2024, it seems unlikely Chelsea will be demanding a similar fee for Hudson-Odoi, making the young English winger a potential target for the club.
