Conte set to leave Inter after fall-out with club board

Antonio Conte is set to leave Internazionale after just one season. Sky Italia report that the former Chelsea manager is on the verge of leaving after he blasted the club’s board for their ‘lack of support’ of the team during the season. While Inter collected 13 points more than last year, Conte’s side has received many criticism.

After Inter cruised past Atalanta Bergamo on Saturday (2-0), Conte lashed out at his club. “Neither my work nor the players’ work was acknowledged, I found little protection from the club when making comparisons“, he told reporters after the game. And it now appears that the coach could be leaving the club.

While it is unclear at this point if Conte will leave the club on his own or if he will be sacked by the club, Sky Italia are certain that Inter have already made a move for Massimo Allegri, who took over from Conte when he left Juventus. It is believed that Inter will announce Conte’s departure on Monday and Allegri’s appointment some moments later.
