Italian side Fiorentina are prepared to sell in-demand Federico Chiesa this summer, says club president Rocco Commisso. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has been linked with numerous clubs this summer, including Juventus and Manchester United. Despite not receiving an official offer, Commisso admits that La Viola could sell the player.
“Chiesa still at Fiorentina? We hope so,” he told Sky Sport after Fiorentina closed the season with a 3-1 win over SPAL. “He can do whatever he wants. The main thing is that if he goes, he will get to the cash desk as much as we ask. I hope he will stay, but if he wants to leave they must pay him what we value him, on our terms.”
Chiesa had an impressive season for Fiorentina as he scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 37 games as he helped the club secure a 10th place finish. Chiesa’s current contract will run out in 2022 and earlier reports stated that Fiorentina would be demanding around €70m for Chiesa.
