Leicester City are very reluctant to sell fullback Ben Chilwell this summer. The left defender has caught the interest from Chelsea and the Blues are very adamant of adding Chilwell to their squad this summer. However, Leicester are demanding a record fee for the defender.
The Foxes already hold the record for selling the most expensive defender in the world with Harry Maguire. Manchester United agreed to pay €90m to sign the England defender from Leicester last summer. And with Chilwell Leicester are demanding that Chelsea will surpass that €90m fee making the left fullback the most expensive defender.
With Leicester City‘s demands, Chelsea could be forced to look elsewhere. FC Porto‘s Alex Telles is reportedly topping their list if Chilwell isn’t available, while Ajax defender and Argentina international Nico Tagliafico could also be considered as a good target. Both players are costing around €40m, making them a lot cheaper than Chilwell.
