Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro says Gareth Bale still has his worth for the Spanish giants despite being frozen out of the first team by Zinedine Zidane. The Brazilian midfielder has praised the Welshman and says he still has the full support of both the team and the club. Casemiro also feels that Bale has the potential to be on of the three best players in the world next to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“He knows it’s not the best time in his career, but he has our support, that of the coach and of the club”, Casemiro told Esporte Interativo. “He’s very important for us, he can spring a surprise at any time and he’s already shown that. He’s a decisive player who scores goals in Champions League finals.”
“We have to be honest and say that he’s not at his best, but when he is he’s incredible and in the top three in the world. I have a lot of love for him and that’s why I try to take care of him as much as I can.” The 31-year-old Bale has experienced a terrible season for Madrid. After missing a transfer to China last summer, he made just 20 appearances across all competitions.
