Manchester City ready to announce second transfer after personal agreement

Manchester City are ready to announce their second big transfer of the summer. After the Citizens completed and confirmed the transfer of Ferran Torres on Tuesday, the club is expected to announce the transfer of Nathan Ake before the end of the week. Italian transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claims that City and Ake have reached a personal agreement on a five year deal.

Romano, who is a journalist for the Guardian and Sky Italia is one of the most reliable sources when it comes to transfers. He posted on social media that Ake and City have agreed personal terms and that only a medical is needed for City to confirm the deal. Ake  is currently on a short holiday and will be arriving in Manchester on Wednesday or Thursday.

With the transfer of Ake City will be signing their desired versatile defender. The Dutch international can play as a left fullback but also as a central defender. It is believed that City will be paying Bournemouth a €45m transfer fee. Ake, who started his career at Feyenoord, joined Bournemouth in 2017 from Chelsea in a €25m transfer. Since joining the Cherries Ake has made over a 100 Premier League appearances.
