Manchester United has switched their interest to Federico Chiesa instead of Jadon Sancho, reports the Manchester Evening News. The Fiorentina winger would be a lot easier to acquire this summer with the Italians holding out for a €55m transfer fee. United could push through an offer before the end of the week.
Borussia Dortmund‘s Sancho proposed move to Old Trafford has been put on hold after it has been made clear that the Germans are not prepared to negotiate their €120m asking price. United is not able to meet those demands and have now reportedly decided to stop pursuing their interest in the England international.
Reports from Italy claim that United have already made contact with Fiorentina to talk about Chiesa. La Viola president Rocco Commisso is willing to let the winger leave but also wants to receive the ‘right price’. The 22-year-old has also been linked with Juventus and Internazionale and is expected to leave Fiorentina for a fee in the region of €60m.
