Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Alexis Sanchez will be completing a transfer to Internazionale. The Chilean has spent a full season on loan with the Italians and enjoyed a good spell. There were some rumours United wanted Alexis to come back to Old Trafford but now Solskjaer has confirmed the forward will be moving to Milan on a permanent deal.
“We will announce tomorrow so I can confirm we have agreed. Alexis enjoyed his time there they have liked him so that’s a good move for him,” Solskjaer after United beat LASK Linz in the Europa League. “We wish him all the best and he is a top player who we want to see play his best football. For whatever reason we didn’t see the best of him here, but he’s a top professional and we wish him all the best.”
United will be happy with the forward switching clubs as he is one of the highest paid players at the club, earning nearly €400.000-a-week. It is believed that Alexis has accepted a major wage cut to join Inter while United have accepted the forward to join the Italians without a transfer fee. Alexis joined United in a swap deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan. In 45 appearances for United he only scored 5 goals.
