Alexis Sanchez completed his permanent transfer to Internazionale on Thursday ending a horrific two-and-a-half year spell at Manchester United. The Chilean had the worst seasons of his career as a Mancunian and was sent on loan to Inter last summer. At the Italians Sanchez recovered well and that earned him a permanent stay at the Nerazzurri.
“Hello there Inter fans. I am very, very happy to be staying here with you,” said Sanchez in a video message posted on the official Inter Twitter feed. “I think that I had this desire to stay here because I have found a family, in the staff and everyone who is eager to fight and win something for this club.”
“I am hungry and want to win something, so that is why I am so happy to be here, with you, to win something.” Sanchez and Inter managed to secure a spot in the quarter final of the Europa League on Wednesday by beating Spanish side Getafe in the round of 16. They will now face Bayer Leverkusen who beat Rangers FC 4-1 on aggregate.
