Former Tottenham Hotspur ace Rafael van der Vaart hopes that Harry Kane will decide to stay at the London club to continue to work with Jose Mourinho. There have been many speculations that Kane is considering to leave the club as he is looking to win silverware. In the past he has been linked to Manchester City and Real Madrid but Van der Vaart hopes the England captain will stay at Spurs.
“I really hope that he’s going to stay,” Van der Vaart – an ambassador for the UEFA Europa League Trophy Tour – told Stats Perform News. “I hope he’s going to stay. Spurs have a great coach. It’s a club that want to be a championship winner, and the Champions League. They can also pay the money. For me, the best thing is for Harry to stay.”
Kane scored 24 goals across all competitions this season and five goals in his final three appearances of the season, helping Tottenham secure sixth position in the Premier League and therefore Europa League football next season. Kane’s current deal at Tottenham will run out in 2024 and he stays on until the end of his contract the forward will be 31-years-old.
