According to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, Juventus have checked the availability of managers Mauricio Pochettino, Simone Inzaghi, Gian Piero Gasperini and Luciano Spalletti as the possible replacement for Maurizio Sarri. Palmeri told talkSPORT that they only checked their availability and no offers have been made yet.
Pochettino and Spelletti are currently unemployed, whilst Inzaghi and Gasperini are respectively managing Lazio and Atalanta Bergamo. Though, the journalist claimed all four managers gave “yes” as an answer to their availability. Also adding that players Cristiano Ronaldo, Chiellini, Buffon and Bonucci will have a say in the appointment of a new manager.
After the elimination in the Champions League against Olympique Lyon last night, Juventus decided to relief Maurizio Sarri of his managerial duties earlier today. The club’s board held a meeting on Saturday morning to discuss the future of their had coach and after several hours they have decided that it is best that the two parties will part ways after just one season.
