Alexandre Lacazette could be leaving Arsenal this summer. According to the Daily Star the Gunners are willing to sell the French striker once they have reached an agreement with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to extend his contract. Lacazette is reportedly on his way to Atletico Madrid in a deal potentially worth €35m.
Lacazette joined Arsenal in 2017 as he was signed by Arsene Wenger as Arsenal’s new main striker. Since the French manager left, Lacazette has been having troubles keeping a regular starting spot at the Gunners. It is now reported that Lacazette is keen on a new challenge in his career.
The report claims that Atletico and Arsenal have already spoken about the terms for Lacazette but the Gunners have made clear that the forward will only be sold if Aubameyang renews his contract. Lacazette has also been linked with Juventus but after the Bianconeri sacked Maurizio Sarri it is unclear if the Italians are still interested in signing Lacazette this transfer window.
