Jadon Sancho is set to stay at Borussia Dortmund as Manchester United have missed the German’s deadline to strike a deal. The England winger has joined his Dortmund teammates as the club departed for their training camp in Austria on Monday. According to Kicker a transfer for Sancho now seems ‘highly unlikely’.
Manchester United have been chasing Sancho for months and it was expected that the Red Devils would sign the England international during the summer window. However, Dortmund have slapped a massive €125m price tag on the winger’s neck and told interested clubs that there was no room for negotiation.
On top of that Dortmund told Manchester United that they would need to complete the transfer before the team would go on a one-week training camp on August 10 or miss out on Sancho. Now that deadline seems to have passed as Sancho and his Dortmund teammates have departed for Austria.
Fim da novela. Ao que tudo indica, a não ser que uma reviravolta enorme aconteça, ele fica. https://t.co/EAmKLsNUpL
