Manchester United have dropped their interest in Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish. The England midfielder is too expensive for the Mancunians to acquire this summer and they have decided not to pursue Grealish. Instead Man United have switched their interest to Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.
Aston Villa are reportedly demanding €100m for Grealish this summer in an attempt to scarce off other clubs. United are still in the market for another midfielder and have now identified the Dutch international as an alternative for Grealish. Ajax are reportedly demanding €40m for Van de Beek, which makes him an affordable alternatives.
Man United and Ajax have a good relationship following several transfers in the past, including Daley Blind. It is believed that the English giants will be contacting the Eredivisie club in the near future. The 23-year-old Van de Beek is an academy player for Ajax and he has played 175 games for the club, scoring 41 goals and providing 31 assists.
