Inter Miami confirm signing of Blaise Matuidi from Juventus

Blaise Matuidi has signed a contract at Inter Miami, the club confirmed on its official website. The 33-year-old French midfielder has signed for the Major League Soccer club on a free transfer after Matuidi had his contract terminated by Juventus. Matuidi has signed a multi-year deal with Inter Miami.

“I couldn’t be happier to welcome my friend Blaise to Inter Miami. He is an exciting and gifted player and a great person,” said owner David Beckham in a statement. “To have a World Cup winner of Blaise’s quality in our new team is such a proud moment – for us as owners and for our fans. For me personally, to have a former teammate joining our Club is very special and I can’t wait to welcome him and his beautiful family to South Florida.”

Matuidi had spent four years at Juventus, joining the Italians from Paris Saint-Germain. In his period at the Bianconeri the midfielder has won the Serie A title in every single season and also winning a Coppa Italia. In 2018 Matuidi won the World Cup with the national team of France, beating Croatia in the final.
