Donny van de Beek insists that he is still happy at Ajax and would not mind to play another season with the Dutch giants. The midfielder has been linked with transfers to Real Madrid and Manchester United in the past but Van de Beek admits that making a transfer this summer will be difficult.
“It is very messy, in any case a very messy period in terms of transfers,” he told Fox Sports. “Nothing is certain yet. I am still a player of Ajax and I am still proud to be there. If there had not been the coronavirus, it might have been different now. There is no clarity now and we have to wait and see how it turns out.”
Van de Beek, who is a product of Ajax’s youth academy says he will not be pushing for a move away this summer and would be more than happy to stay on for another season. “I’m still here and after all these years I still have a lot of fun,” he said. “If I also play at Ajax next season, I still have a lot of fun. You won’t hear me complaining.”
