Conte asks Inter board to make a move for N’Golo Kante

Internazionale are ready to go shopping in the Premier League again. Head coach Antonio Conte has requested his board to make a transfer bid for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante. The Italian was the one that signed the midfielder from Leicester City and in their first season together they won the Premier League title. Conte now wants Kante to join him at Inter.

La Gazetto dello Sport reports that Chelsea are willing to negotiate a transfer for the 29-year-old France international. Kante has a contract until the summer of 2023 but The Blues would en happy to receive an offer around €45m for the midfielder, who joined the club in 2016.

And Kante could be one of the Chelsea players that is ready to move to Internazionale. Chelsea are still looking for a new left-back which means that Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri will be allowed to leave. Conte is keen on signing at least one of the two but would prefer to sign Alonso. The Spanish left defender fits perfectly in Conte’s 3-5-2 formation and had his best season at Chelsea under Conte.
