FC Barcelona are considering to make an approach for former OGC Nice defender Malang Sarr. The 21-year-old defender currently is a free agent after he decided to leave the French club after his contract had expired in June. The left-footed defender can play as both a left fullback as a central defender.
Sport claim that sporting director Eric Abidal has been in talks with Sarr’s representatives over the past few weeks to find out the terms of the French defender. It is believed that he has already had offers from several sides from the Premier League and an offer from Serie A side Torino.
Sarr made 119 appearances for Nice and has been considered as one of the best young defenders in the French Ligue 1. He has been capped by France at U21 level and he has been linked with a call-up for the France national team on several occasions. The fact he is available on a free transfer makes him extra interesting for many clubs in Europe.
