Manchester United are still very interested in signing Douglas Costa as an alternative for Jadon Sancho. The English giants are looking to accept the fact that Sancho will not be available for a transfer this summer and are currently exploring other targets. Juventus winger Douglas Costa has been on the club’s shortlist for years and could now finally make a move to Old Trafford.
Sky Sports report that United are monitoring the situation of Costa at Juventus at the moment. The 29-year-old winger has been a fringe player at the Italians under Maurizio Sarri with Federico Bernadeschi the first choice right winger. However, it is unclear if newly appointed Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo has any plans for Costa.
If the Brazilian does become available, United will be the first ones to prepare an offer. With a contract until the summer of 2022 Juventus will not be demanding top dollar for Costa, who is valued by Transfermarket.com at €24m. While Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not be signing his most desired target with Sancho, he will be able to land a strong winger with Costa.
