N’Golo Kante has emerged as a shock summer transfer target for Manchester United. The France international has been struggling to hold down a first-team position under new Chelsea boss Frank Lampard and it is believed that The Blues would be open to sell Kante if the offer matches their own valuation.
According to the Mirror Chelsea would consider offers in the region of €40m and that is transfer fee that United would be willing to pay. United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be keen to pair up Kante with Paul Pogba. The duo have a great partnership at the French national team and Solskjaer would love to see that partnership flourish at Old Trafford.
Rumours about Kante’s future at Chelsea have been around for several months as Lampard prefers a different type of midfielder to play alongside Croatian playmaker Mateo Kovacic. This has made the position of the French midfielder, who joined Chelsea in 2016 from Leicester City in a €38m fee. He has made 170 appearances for the Blues, winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League.
