Super agent Mino Raiola has slammed Italian football website Calcio Mercato for claiming that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has signed a new deal with AC Milan. The Swedish forward is currently out of contract after his deal with the Rossoneri expired last month. While it is believed he is set to sign a new deal at Milan, no deal has been signed just yet.
Raiola took to social media to deny the reports of Ibrahimovic already signing a new deal with Milan. Raiola reacted: “Fake News! Ibrahimovic has NOT renewed his contract with AC Milan.” Ibrahimovic arrived at Milan in January and helped the club achieve sixth position in the Serie A.
Since returning to Milan in January from LA Galaxy, Ibrahimovic has made 18 appearances in the Serie A, scoring 10 goals. After the season ended the striker commented on his future and said he would be open to sign a new deal while head coach Stefano Pioli also admitted he hoped Ibrahimovic would stay on for the 2020-21 season.
