FC Barcelona are ready to make a huge transfer offer for Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus as a replacement for Luis Suarez. The Spanish giants are trying to offload the veteran Uruguayan forward and have now marked Jesus as the perfect replacement. However, with City not having the wish to sell the Brazilian a transfer seems unlikely unless Barcelona offers a massive transfer fee.
Jesus has been on Barcelona’s shortlist for months as the club has been looking for a long-term replacement for Suarez. It was expected that the club would keep the 33-year-old former Liverpool star until the end of his contract in 2021 but it now seems that Suarez is set to leave Barcelona this summer, increasing Barca’s need to sign a new frontman.
Reports from Manchester claim that Jesus could be open to leave City if Pep Guardiola fails to give the striker more assurances on his game time in the 2020-21 season. The Brazilian is still considered as the understudy for Sergio Aguero and sources around the player have said that he is fed-up with his role. A move to Barcelona could be interesting for Jesus if he desires to move.
