Neymar has ended all speculations on his future as the Brazilian has confirmed he wants to stay with Paris Saint-Germain for the 2020-21 season. The Parisians paid around €227m for Neymar in the summer of 2017 following a move from FC Barcelona. Last summer Neymar tried to force his way out of Paris back to Barcelona but he changed his mind about leaving PSG.
The forward scored 19 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions for PSG last season, helping the team win the Ligue 1, Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue. The French giants also made it to the Champions League final, which was eventually lost to Bayern Munich (1-0). The Brazilian now says he is adamant of returning to the Champions League with PSG as he is eyeing to stay with the club next season.
“I am staying at PSG next season,” Neymar said during an interview with PSG Le Mag. “I remain and with the ambition to return to the final of the Champions League, this time to win it. I like this idea of doing everything to leave my name in the history books of my club.” Neymar has a contract until the summer of 2022 at PSG and the club is keen on extending that deal.
