Inter Miami owner David Beckham has made contact with Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain to talk about a possible transfer to the Major League Soccer side. The former Real Madrid and Napoli forward looks to be frozen out at Juventus next season and the Italians are reportedly keen on selling Higuain to create space in their wage budget.
Calcio Mercato report that Beckham has been in contact with Higuain to discuss a possible transfer to the MLS this summer. While the forward would be open to change continents his current salary would form a problem for Inter Miami. Higuain earns around €7.5m-a-year at Juventus and the Americans are not able to match those wages.
The two parties are currently in talks to negotiate terms. It could be possible that the 32-year-old Higuain accept a lower basic wage but will then have several performance bonuses included into the deal. Higuain has a contract until the summer of 2021 at Juventus and the forward has been told this deal will not be extended as the Bianconeri are looking to offload the forward.
