Higuain arrives in Miami to complete transfer to the Major League Soccer

Gonzalo Higuain has arrived in Miami to complete his transfer to Inter Miami. The Argentinian has agreed personal deals with the club of David Beckham several days ago and he has now traveled to Florida to undergo a medical. If he passes the tests he will then go on to sign a multi-year deal with the Major League Soccer side.

Higuain was spotted at the airport of Miami as he was welcomed by one of the club’s officials Jorge Mas. Later on Mas posted a picture on social media confirming that Higuain arrived in Miami to finalise the deal to Inter. An announcement is expected on Saturday evening. If Higuain signs he will become the second Juventus player after Blaise Matuidi to join Miami this summer.

It is expected that Inter Miami will be signing Higuain on a free transfer. The striker held talks with newly appointed Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo last week and the former midfielder told Higuain he would not be featuring in his plans. Juventus then offered to terminate Higuain’s contract to allow him to sign for a new club on a free transfer. There has not been an official announcement by Juventus that Higuain’s contract has been terminated, it is expected they will announce his free transfer to Miami shortly.
