Jack Grealish has put an end to the transfer rumours linking him to Manchester United. The English midfielder has signed a new five-year deal at Aston Villa until the summer of 2025. By signing a new contract at the Villans, the freshly capped England international has ended all speculations on his future as he is ready to lead the Birmingham club in the 2020-21 Premier League campaign.
“I am delighted to make this commitment to Villa,” Grealish said. “It is my club, my home and I am very happy here. The owners have made it very clear to me how ambitious they are and how they want to build Aston Villa. There are exciting times ahead and I am very glad to be part of it.”
Grealish had a superb season for Villa last campaign, helping his club to avoid relegation from the Premier League. His impressive stint in the league also earned him his first call-up for the national team after he replaced injured Marcus Rashford in the squad. He then made his senior debut against Denmark in the Nations League.
