Paris Saint-Germain are trying to convince Neymar and Kylian Mbappe to sign new long-term contracts as they pursue Champions League glory. However, Sky Sports report that the French club are having difficulties of keeping the Brazilian and French stars at their club with the reported interest of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Reports on Sunday emerged that Mbappe has told PSG he is ready to quit the club next summer. The France international has been long-linked with a move to Real Madrid and it is believed he is keen on completing a move to the LaLiga giants to further his career. Mbappe’s contract runs out in the summer of 2022 and if he rejects a contract extension PSG are forced to sell him next season.
The same goes for Neymar. The Brazilian also has a contract until the summer of 2022 and he has been linked with a move back to Barcelona in recent months. The coronavirus pandemic kept the Spanish club from making a move for the 28-year-old. However, it is believed that Barcelona will be back for Neymar next summer just before the forward enters the final year of his contract.
