Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur have started talks on a potential spectacular player swap deal, reports The Telegraph. Spurs want to bring Gareth Bale back to the Premier League and have already made an inquiry for the Welsh winger. Madrid are keen to offload Bale this summer but have make a stunning proposal to add Dele Alli into the deal.
The 24-year-old English midfielder is having a difficult spell under Jose Mourinho at Spurs and the Portuguese manager is believed to be open to sell Alli to Madrid if they add Bale into the deal. The report claims that Madrid want to pay an initial €40m for Alli but will also inlude Bale and they will pay 50 per cent of the Welshman’s wages for the next two seasons.
Alli, who represents a value of €64m according to transfermarkt.com has a contract until the summer of 2024 at Tottenham but could be leaving the club after five seasons. He was signed from MK Dons in 2015 and made his Spurs debut in the 2015-16 season. Since then he established himself as one of Spurs’ key performers when Mauricio Pochettino was leading the team but under Mourinho Alli is having difficulties finding the right form.
