Arek Milik is on the verge of completing a transfer from Napoli to AS Roma. Fabrizio Romano reports that both clubs have reached an agreement on a transfer for the Polish forward. The Italian transfer expert claims that Roma will pay a €25m transfer fee for Milik and that the striker will sign a five-year contract at the club worth €5m per season, bringing the total value of the transfer to €50m.
Milik has entered the final year of his contract at Napoli and already told the club he wasn’t prepared to sign an extension. He has been linked with several clubs including moves to Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus. The Bianconeri are now also expected to be in the mix as they are close to signing Edin Dzeko from AS Roma.
The Bosnian forward is considered as an ideal back-up player for Paulo Dybala and he will be the replacement of Gonzalo Higuain, who will leave the club for Inter Miami soon. Once the transfer of Milik has been confirmed it is expected that Juventus will announce the signing of Dzeko. This transfer could also affect the future of Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan appeared to be close to signing a deal with Juventus but the FC Barcelona forward could see his transfer to the Serie A giants going up in smoke.
