Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finally ended all the speculations on his future by signing a new three-year deal with Arsenal. The Gunners announced on Tuesday that the 31-year-old Gabon striker had put pen to paper under a new contract and it has now been reported that Aubameyang will become one of the best paid players in the Premier League as he will earn a staggering €65m over the next three years.
Mesut Ozil was Arsenal‘s best paid player with a yearly wage of €18m but the German has now been passed by Aubameyang with a yearly wage of more than €20m. And it is needless to say that the striker looks to be worth every penny Arsenal spend on him. Aubameyang has scored 55 goals in just 85 Premier League games.
Aubameyang told the official Arsenal website that he was delighted to have signed a new deal. “Signing for this special club was never in doubt. It’s thanks to our fans, my team-mates, my family and everybody at this club that I feel like I belong here. I believe in Arsenal. We can achieve big things together. We have something exciting here and I believe the best is to come for Arsenal.”
