Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has rejected the chance of signing Dele Alli this summer from Tottenham Hotspur. The English club had hoped to include the English international into the transfer of Gareth Bale but it has now been claimed that Zidane has rejected the offer. At this point Spurs are looking to sign Bale on a loan deal.
Zidane was contacted by Real president Florentino Perez to talk about the possibility to sign Alli and the French coach was clear in his respons. He has no interest in signing the Tottenham midfielder as he feels the club has enough players for the position of attacking midfielder. Zidane has Luka Modric, Martin Odegaars, Isco and Sergio Asensio available for the position.
Alli is now looking to stay at Tottenham, despite Jose Mourinho wanting to sell the midfielder. The 24-year-old has not impressed under the Portuguese manager and was not included in Tottenham’s match squad that faced Lokomotiv Plovdiv on Thursday in the Europa League and he was withdrawn from the team last Sunday at half-time in Tottenham’s 1-0 loss to Everton.
