Memphis Depay has been heavily linked with FC Barcelona over the past few weeks. The Olympique Lyon striker tops the club’s wishlist for this summer with new boss Ronald Koeman personally asking Barcelona to sign Depay. However, Barcelona is having financial troubles following the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic and are not able to meet Lyon’s asking price.
This has left Lyon with two choices: either keep Depay and see him walking out the door for free next summer or try to sell him to a different club. And Sky Italia claim that Lyon have decided to offer Depay out to other clubs. And it seems that Lyon have already found a suitable club to sign their captain as AC Milan have already shown interest in the forward in the past.
Lyon have interest in signing Lucas Paqueta from Milan. The Brazilian was signed by Milan in a big money move from Flamengo in January 2019 but he has failed to live to the high expectations. Lyon director Juninho knows the attacking midfielder very well and wants to add him to Lyon’s squad. It is therefore very possible that Lyon and Milan will try to work out a player swap deal.
