Ajax have managed to keep Dutch wonderkid Sontje Hanson on board with a new contract. The talented Dutch forward has signed a new contract until the summer of 2023 with the Eredivisie giants. Ajax have confirmed that the youngster has signed a new contract with the club on their official website and by tying Hansen down to a new contract they have managed to fight off several European elite clubs.
Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf report that Hansen had caught the interest of Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Juventus, FC Barcelona and Manchester United in recent months. The young forward starred for the Dutch U17 team on the European championship in 2019 and that earned him the interest from several European elite teams. His old contract would have expired in the summer of 2021.
In December 2019 Hansen made his first team debut for Ajax in a cup match with Telstar. Several days later he was also granted his debut in the Eredivisie. He has not featured for the club since that moment but the Dutch giants have high expectations from him. Ajax are now hoping that Bryan Brobbey, another Dutch wonderkid, will also sign a new contract. The powerful striker has also been linked with clubs like Juventus in recent months.
