Atletico Madrid forward Alvaro Morata has arrived in Turin to complete his return to Juventus. The Italian giants confirmed on social media that the Spanish striker has landed and is ready to undergo a medical on Tuesday. Morata will sign a one-year loan deal at Juventus with an future transfer feel around €45m to sign him on a permanent deal.
Juventus have been linked with several strikers this summer but have now decided to re-sign Morata. The former Real Madrid striker spent two seasons at the Italians, playing alongside new boss Andrea Pirlo, before moving back to Spain. He made 93 appearances for the Bianconeri, scoring 27 goals and providing 18 assists.
With Morata on his way to Juventus, it seems very likely that Luis Suarez will be joining Atletico. The Spanish giants needed to make space in their wage budget and with the departure of Morata they have done exactly what was needed. It is expected that Atletico will be announcing the arrival of Suarez later this week once the former Liverpool and Ajax man has agreed to terminate his contract at FC Barcelona.
