Dani Alves is eyeing a return to Europe, reports Goal. The former FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain full-back currently plays for Sao Paulo in his home nation Brazil but it has been reported that he wishes to complete a transfer back to Europe. Main reasons for Alves to push for a transfer away from Sao Paulo are several political issues at the club.
Alves returned to Brazil little over a year ago and the defender then said it was a ‘dream come true’ to sign for Sao Paulo. However, he has been frustrated at the club by several behind-the-scenes issues, as well as the criticism he has faces from the fans. He was recently targeted by the fans after he attended a party during the coronavirus pandemic.
While Alves is chasing an exit at the club, the defender is adamant he wants to leave the club on good terms. His main goal is to complete a return to Europa only 13 months after he decided to end his contract with PSG and sign for Sao Paulo as a free agent. During his career Alves enjoyed spells at Sevilla, FC Barcelona, Juventus and PSG.
