Real Madrid have enjoyed a quiet transfer window up until this point. The Spanish side have not signed any new players but did collect almost €100m on selling players. The transfer window will shut its doors next week on October 5th and looking ahead to the final week Zinedine Zidane has given an update on the transfer plans of the club.
“This is the squad I have to work with, I’m not going to ask for anything more,” Zidane told reporters ahead of Real’s match against Real Betis. “But I know that anything can happen between now and October 5. I think the best thing for all managers is that the transfer deadline comes and goes. I think I have the best squad and I’m thoroughly behind my players.”
Though Madrid will not be making any moves on the transfer market to sign new players, the club is still looking to offload several players as they try to recover from the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic. There have been talks that Real want to offload at least one more forward before the end of the window with Luka Jovic, Borja Mayoral and Mariano Diaz being the most likely candidates.
