FC Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has requested his club to offload three more players during the final week of the summer transfer window. A report by Mundo Deportivo suggests that the Dutch coach has told his club to sell Rafinha, Carles Alena and Riqui Puig as he wants to generate the needed funds to sign Memphis Depay and Georgino Wijnaldum.
Koeman has been part of a massive clear out at Barcelona as the Spanish club have already sold Luis Suarez (Atletico Madrid), Ivan Rakitic (Sevilla), Arturo Vidal (Internazionale) and Nelson Semedo (Wolverhampton Wanderers). Despite the transfers of four regular starters, Koeman is keen to offload even more players.
The report states that both Samuel Umtiti, Jean-Clair Todibo and Martin Braithwaite have also been out in the window by Barcelona. Umtiti has been linked with Olympique Lyon and it has been suggested that the French defender could be used in a player plus cash deal to sign Depay. Todibo has been linked with Fulham in recent days.
