RB Leipzig winger Ademola Lookman has completed a loan move to Fulham. The Premier League has announced on social media that the English forward has been signed on a season-long loan. The 22-year-old Lookman was left out of Leipzig’s Bundesliga squad on Saturday and flew to London on Monday. He has now passed a medical and signed the loan contract.
“I’m glad to have it over the line and done now. I’m glad I can be here to help the team”, Lookman told the official website of Fulham. “After the conversations I had with Scott Parker, I got a great feeling, that’s the working relationship I want to have. He’s young and hungry and I’m young and hungry as well so it’s a good match.”
Fulham chairman Tony Khan is delighted with the loan signing. “I’m excited to announce the arrival of Ademola Lookman to Fulham Football Club on loan from RB Leipzig! Ademola, in his young career, has gained experience in the Premier League and Bundesliga and contributed in England’s 2017 Under-20 World Cup win, and we believe that he’s a very good addition to our squad! Come on Fulham!”
Lookman started his career with Charlton Athletic in 2014 and made his professional debut when he was 17-years-old. In 2017 he was picked up by Everton, who paid around €12m to sign Lookman. A year later he then earned a loan transfer to RB Leipzig and the Germans signed him on a permanent deal not long after. He has made 24 appearances for Leipzig, scoring five goals and providing four assists.
