The players of Fulham are unhappy with the comments of chairman Tony Khan and have supported manager Scott Parker. The director immediately took to social media after the Cottagers lost 3-0 away at Aston Villa on Monday. In his post he apologised for the performance of his team before promising to sign new players before the end of the transfer window on Monday night.
At a press conference on Tuesday, Parker was asked about the comments by the owner. The former England midfielder then responded unhappy and branded the post on social media as ‘unhelpful’ for his players and the team. And the Daily Mail has now revealed that Parker has the support of the full match squad as they are angered by Khan’s comments.
A source said: “The players are not happy at all with the post. It undermines the squad and it looks like they don’t have the club’s backing.” The summer transfer window will be open for a couple of more days and Fulham have been linked with numerous players over the past few weeks. Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Ryan Bennet is reportedly close in joining Fulham.
